DS nerf QQ and blah blah blehhhhh

My only problem with Blizz nerfing DS is that it happened TOO SOON EXECUTUS

Dragon Soul has been out for approximately 2 months. That’s, what, 8 lockouts? And for guilds that aren’t totally hardcore, I’m gonna assume that the holiday season might have cut into raiding a little bit.

If Blizz’s outlook on this is, “Well, so few people are killing heroic bosses right now,” they’ve failed to take into consideration that not every guild that wants a challenge and wants to progress isn’t going to rocketshipzoooom through the content. Some guilds may want to take a few weeks farming normal mode in order to gear up for heroic mode.

Like, my guild. We’re just now 3/8 heroic. And we really haven’t been pushing too hard at progression. And with the nerf starting next lockout, we just haven’t had adequate time to work on Dragon Soul at a pace we’re comfortable with and still beat the nerf.

Yeah, I know it’s staggered. Hellscreams Warsong and all that. But even, like, another month would have been appropriate before implementing it— just giving a few more percentages of the population the opportunity to see the content as it was designed to be played.

Unless… Blizz is planning on rushing us through Dragon Soul so they can release Pandas earlier.

ICC came out early December 2009, and Cataclysm was out a year later. Giving us a whole year in that raid. With Dragon Soul coming out in late November 2011, we should probably expect Mists of Pandatime to be out late this year. Blizzcon has is always around mid-October, which would fall under the heading of “later this year.” I wonder if Blizzcon was cancelled, not because they need time to work on their games, but because they want everyone at home playing their newly released Pandaexpansion.
