I have something to add :3 shadow priests (well, any caster in general~) are very gear dependant. haste is your best friend, so, if you’re freshly dinged then I wouldn’t be surprised if your dps is bad.

At the start of Cata, I was totally draggin behind everyone else in my guild who had equal gear level because I just didn’t have the haste to be effective. Mana is pretty rough for a fresh 85 too, so things like shadowfiend and archangel which are usually used as DPS cooldowns often have to be conserved for mana cooldowns instead.
